Pyramid foam, like our wedge foam, is a long-lasting, high-performance solution to your sound-deadening needs at an affordable price. Pyramid foam's unique design offers slightly different performance characteristics than the wedge foam, with its greater surface area. The four sides, rather than the two of the wedge, offer extra diffusion but slightly less absorption for different usage styles.

Features
For basic soundproofing, 1 inch pyramid foam provides moderate sound control on walls or ceilings, especially ones not parallel to the floor. This product is best for when absolute sound deadening is not required, but moderate deadening is desired. 1 inch pyramid foam is most effective on mid-to-high frequency ranges.

To create the pyramid style, this foam must pass through our machine twice, resulting in a higher cost than the wedge for a more visually pleasing product. With less overall mass than our wedge foam, it provides about 76 percent as much absorption as the wedge, but has a better diffusion rate.
All acoustical products meet ASTM E84 Class A and California 117 flame retardancy specifications. Generally, this means if you were to briefly expose our foam to a flame, it would self-extinguish.
We do not encourage or endorse anyone attempting fire retardancy tests. Also, please check building codes to meet your area's regulations before installing our acoustic foam.
